RAC EVENTS



The following events are sponsored by the Residents Activity Club (R.A.C*).


Tickets for RAC events may be purchased from these following designated

 ticket sellers at Tasty Tuesday every Tuesday morning:

  • Admission tickets to our events MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE of the event. Information for all of our new neighbors, and a reminder to all of our old neighbors - all RAC events are by ticket only. Tickets must be purchased in advance of each event.


  • If the ticket says the event will start at 6:00 PM, please be punctual - because IT WILL start at 6:00 PM.


  • There will no longer be food take outs.  However, if you have purchased a ticket and then cannot attend, you may send someone to get your food to go. Some events may have a cutoff date for ticket sales, so try to purchase them as quickly as possible.

17th Annual Fish Fry

Friday, April 4, 4:30 pm

Vince will again provide us with a great fish fry.  Fried fish, French fries, coleslaw, corn bread, dessert and beverage.  All for only $15.00.  Tickets go fast. 


Special Breakfast

Tuesday April 15, 9 am

The Guys on the Griddle (Bob, Buzz & Ron) are preparing their signature breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, biscuits/gravy and fruit cocktail along with your coffee or tea.  Tickets are $7.00.  What a bargain!


Easter Brunch

Saturday, April 19, 11:30 am

Our Annual Easter Brunch, chaired by Elaine King will feature Ham provided by RAC. This is an orchestrated meal and all the side dishes & desserts will be made by the great cooks in CE.  Lemonade & tea also available.  Ladies wear your Easter bonnets, if you please.Tickets are same as last year, $12.00.


HELPING HANDS 

Mondays, 2 & 4th of month, 1:00 pm at 1 pm

They are currently looking for tiny, small artificial flowers and old/used greeting cards and

souvenir pictures of travel, etc. for picture books. Interested? Call Phyllis Morrison, 941-467-4549

Cereal for Summer

April 1 - May 4

Kris Schatzer is again spearheading the Cereal for Summer sponsored by the Polk County Sherriff's Department.  Kris reported that last year we donated 70 boxes of cereal.  Carlsberg is a very giving community so she is hoping to break that record this year.  Please deposit your boxes in the bin inside the clubhouse doors.  Thank you for helping.

They really do work!

Miracle Cloths can be purchased from Sue Dean for $3.00 each. They can be purchased every Tuesday at Tasty Tuesday or

contact Sue Dean at 676-9193. Proceeds benefit RAC.

RAC COLLECTS THE FOLLOWING:


RAC will be collecting can tabs, and education labels only.



Pop tabs—Place in glass jar on front table at Clubhouse. Tabs go to the VFW who passes on the money they get to the Ronald McDonald House Foundation. Drop off at the Clubhouse.


Box Tops & Labels for Education (with bar code) - Continue to place in plastic container on the front table at the

Clubhouse. These go to the Janie Howard Wilson School on SR 17.
