These events are sponsored by the community or an individual resident.

HELPING HANDS

 2nd & 4th Monday - 1:00 PM Meetings suspended after May 12 for the summer.

We are still working on the mats for the homeless. Come join us! Contact Phyliss Morrison 941-467-4549 for more information. We have 2 projects to bless local nursing home residents this Christmas. Creating picture books from magazines, old post cards/greeting cards, calendars, travel photos, etc. If you have any of these items laying around, sharing them would be greatly appreciated.

CARLSBERG MIXED LEAGUE

Wednesdays, 7:30 am SUSPENDED UNTIL FALL

This is open to men and women of any skill level and we play every Wednesday morning. We play at River Greens Golf Course in Avon Park. The league starts on October 16th. First tee time is 7:30. We usually carpool to the course, leaving about 6:45 am. Again, this is a fun league, and your cost is green fees plus $5.00 for closest to pin and low scores. You only pay if you play. We usually end up in the club house for lunch and libations (if desired) and to divvy up the prize money. Ben Doody, 207-873-8701 is in charge of league, but Vince Cottone, 863-604-7557 will start the league until Ben returns from Maine.

CRIBBAGE

Mondays, 6:00 pm  

All Cribbage players are welcome to join us. Those curious, or wanting to learn how to play, are welcome to observe. Thanks, Jerry Burgess, 863-455-3047

CARLSBERG COUPLES LEAGUE

Alternate Saturday's, 8:30 am SUSPENDED UNTIL FALL

This is another fun league playing with your spouse or significant other with some regular golf rules and sometimes special events. We play alternate Saturdays at Lake Bess – 9 holes only. Cost is green fees plus $.50 for closest to the pin. Then we all go to Hurricanes for lunch on the deck. League starts on October 12th. Any questions, contact Dick Hoffman @ 863-450-8545. On most Fridays, several of the men get together and play at various courses in the area. We usually have 3 to 8 players. Any resident and their guests may join us. DRINKS ON THE DECK

Put your dinner on hold, bring your beverage of choice, and join your friends at 4:30 on Friday afternoon
for relaxed conversation and camaraderie on the deck. Bring an appetizer to share. Stay as long or as little as you like.

No food, no fuss—just catching up and winding down. 

FLAMINGO FRIDAY

Friday,, 5:00 pm SUSPENDED UNTIL FALL

Meet at the Clubhouse, all residents “interested” in golf are welcome, as are significant others (who may or many not be interested). No skill required!! Bring an appetizer to share and your preferred beverage. Just a good time!
