Community activities are separate from RAC events. They are sponsored by the community or an individual resident. Some are listed below, others are listed on the Events Calendar issued monthly with the CNN (Carlsberg Neighborhood News).

CLEO'S (Carlsberg Ladies Eating Out)

Elaine King is coordinating CLEO’s this month. We will be going to Ovations, Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven for lunch. Meet at the Clubhouse at 11:30am.

R.O.M.E.O.'S LUNCHEONS  (Retired Old Men Eating Out)

Thursday, March  12 & 26, 12:00 Noon. 

The ROMEO’s will be going to The Port in Haines City on Thursday, March 12th, and on Thursday, March 26th we will be driving to Catfish Country in Bartow. All meetings begin at 12:00 noon. Questions, call John Henrie at 676-4319.

GOLF - Ladies

Mondays -  9:00 am

CE ladies will be golfing at Lake Bess, 9 holes. This is just for sun and fun.

GOLF - River Green

The River Greens Mixed League is off and
putting . Tee off at 8 AM. The sign-up sheet is
on the Bulletin Board. Dick Kempinger is
managing the league again this year, so if you
have any questions, give him a call at


Alternate Saturday Mornings - 8:25 am, Lake Bess

(this month - March 14 & 28)

This will be the third year for the Carlsberg Couples Golf League which is held on alternate Saturday mornings at Lake Bess Golf Club. This is a 9 hole event and is for fun only. Sometime you will play with your spouse/significant other but we will usually draw cards for partners. Cost is $15 for green fees plus $0.50 for closest to the pin. We usually go to Hurricanes for lunch after golf so everyone can brag about the round they had. There is a sign-up sheet in the Clubhouse. Please sign up no later than Fridays. Friday afternoons,  4:30 PM

Put your dinner on hold, bring your beverage of

choice, and join your friends at 4:30 on Friday afternoon

for relaxed conversation and camaraderie on

the deck. Stay as long or as little as you like. No

Dick and Jewel KIempingeer are hosts for the month of March. Meet in the Clubhouse at
5 PM. All residents “interested” in golf are welcome,
as are significant others (who may or
may not be interested). NO skill level is required!!
Bring an appetizer to share and your
preferred beverage. Just a good social time.

LOVEKNOTS (Project Linus)
Workshop, Tuesdays , After coffee 

Would you be interested in providing a blanket for a child in need? A child who has been traumatized by a life changing event? If you have an interest, we will be meeting on Tuesday mornings  to discuss how you can be a part of this wonderful opportunity. Please join us after coffee (approx. 10:00 am) for LoveKnots. All are welcome!

We plan on displaying all of the Linus Blankets made this past season at coffee hour ("Tasty Tuesday" )on Tuesday, March 31st.

All blankets made remain in Polk County and any red, white or blue blankets will go to Washington, DC for distribution to children of fallen heroes.

On the bulletin board (down the Clubhouse hall near the Exercise Room) there is a section on the bottom where residents can advertise items for sale. Ad must be on a 3x5” card/paper and dated. If item sells, or ad has been posted for 3 months or more, it will be removed from the board.
